RemoteShell keeps browser storage minimal. Here is what we store, why we store it, and what you can clear.
Cookies
We set a first-party X-Session-ID cookie. It helps keep basic site metrics consistent across visits without exposing the value to JavaScript. The cookie is HTTP-only, uses SameSite=Lax, and can last up to one year.
Browser storage
We use localStorage to keep useful preferences on your device: remoteshell_favorites stores saved job favorites, and remoteshell_state stores your latest search and filter state. You can clear this data from your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Umami analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the job board. This helps us see what pages and flows are useful without turning the site into a surveillance circus.
Unsubscribe links
Newsletter unsubscribe links are used only to remove subscriptions. We do not add marketing tracking to unsubscribe flows.
